spread the gospel
Posted by jonathan on December 4, 2001, 9:18 pm i make it my duty to lend out my copies of sinai tapestry and jerusalem poker to all and sundry. unfortunately i have not been able to get hold of any of his other work. i once ordered them through amazon...they found second copies of the other works but offered them to me at about $200 each...i'm in south africa ...so that is 200 x 10,2 = R2 200.00 each... and i just can't afford to spend R6 600 on books. QED one day i hope to read the rest. does anyone know if any movies are being planned...or if the movie rights have been sold at all?? regards jonathan

You will be able to get the other Whittemore books in the New Year from Old Earth Books. Apparently they will be published as Trade Paperbacks and will sell for about $15.00 USD, far cheaper than acquiring the original hard covers, from Amazon or it's like. The last two books in the Quartet are extremely rare these days as they only had one printing and never came out in paperback. Keep checking this site for updates on the reissues - I'll be keeping a close watch on their progress. As for movie rights, I have never heard of anyone even broaching that possibility, though someone did have the idea back in the 70s of doing a movie of "Quin's Shanghai Circus".
