How many were sold?

Just wondering. I bought a hardcover copy of "Jericho Mosaic" over e-Bay for the amazingly paltry sum of $13.00,(correct, thirteen dollars), and it was an old library copy in wonderful condition,(Possibly due to Whittemores'lack of notoriety?) I am very slowly removing traces of the library stamps(fine-grit sandpaper works very well for this) and such while keeping the plastic over the jacket. I read somewhere that only about eight-thousand copies of "JM" were sold. I wonder if these copies were sold ONLY to libraries, and how many were sold to book lovers?
I can only hope the sales of the reprints now reflect the true value of his work. Thanks for listening.

I for one bought the book when it was first published way back in 1987. It was never published in a British edition, so I had to order it through a bookstore who had access to US publications. I did the same for Nile Shadows.

Can't say that I ever met anyone else here in Australia who went to the same trouble.

The US hard cover editions of Sinai Tapestry and Jerusalem Poker were remaindered at some time and even were being sold off in Melbourne Australia as I acquired both for $2.00 apiece.

I haven't heard from Michael Walsh for a while about sales of the new editions, but apparently Sinai Tapestry was doing quite well.

One would think that having read ST one would naturally seek out the other books.
