Our boy Lock came to us July 2017 from Kevlar x Rumor. I live in Columbus, OH so we did obedience training here.
Unfortunately, while playing in my grandmaís yard this past August Lock and I were blindsided and attacked by a Pitbull that got loose. Luckily neither Lock nor I suffered major injuries that werenít fairly easily treated, however, it was a long attack and I do think the attack has changed Lock... admittedly, it has changed me too. Anyway, I have family in Michigan and I visit fairly regularly so I was wondering if any further training with you would be a good idea for us? Lock just seems to overreact now..maybe rather than being confident that he can hold his own? Itís not like he walks around scared, he just... seems to overreact, especially to other dogs. To the point where I donít know if I should be taking him everywhere I want to, and I donít want either of us to miss out on experiences.
My goals are 1. Make sure that he is confident in his own skin for everyday life 2. Make sure that if the time to react ever does come (be that versus a dog, human, or other) he has an idea of an appropriate response.
Any thoughts or recommendations will be much appreciated, and thank you again for my boy. Heís the first dog Iíve raised and trained on my own and overall itís been a wonderful experience.
