However, there are other ways to "reward" the dog. You can obviously take the jacket off, while he's on the bite, and really, with a decent handler, can do the same with the pants.. laying down in such a fashion that the dog can strip or pull them off your feet. More importantly, though, is the concept that once a dog is well enough trained to bite a full suit, he should have been conditioned that the "fight" is the reward... the decoy goes still, when the dog digs in, biting firmer and deeper, the decoy rewards that behavior with fast movement, much like a dying prey animal would do if his killer was doing the same thing... we don't tend to "slip" to dogs much, and if we do, the dog is encouraged to bring the sleeve, etc. back to the decoy for more fight.
