Therefore the LED part was not my main priority. However, i did put some theory into it, looking at eye response curves and determining the best layout and balance of each colour. My initial idea was that the LED section would slot in place of a standard MR16 halogen downlighter - so that limited my board size and the amout of LED's that I could fit on to the board. Now, being a poor student, I was limited to standard High intentity 5mm LED's, as much as i would have loved to use luxeons, at £25UK a pop, this was not happening any time soon ;-) I think i got 37 LEDs into the space, with 14 red 13 green and 10 blue spaced in an opposing triangular fashion. The resuts were actually ok - My red's werent up to much in comparison to the green and blue balance, i think i would have changed these to something more intense - but the overall balance is good and it mixes well - intensity is actually quite suprising also (trying to solder after looking at the thing was quite a task!) I put some other stuff on it like self test, auto display dimming and what not - actually very pleased with it i might even make some more ! Here is a picture. thanks again! colb Link: Final Unit
