I am wondering if this fountain operates stand alone without music or in sync with pre programmed music ?

In any case it's a weird idea controlling a fountain using DMX and then controlling the DMX using a RS232 stream. Why this madness when DMX itself has hordes of different engine options.... PC based, standalone DMX controller based, DMX recorder based, show control hard ware based, dedicated Microprocessor based, network based and so on.

We use a Windows XP based software (written by us) for use with music. Where stand alone operation is considered, the best way is to use a regular DMX controller or a DMX recorder which is programmed from a DMX controller.
