Open (in Notepad) an existing personality file of a fixture which is similar to the one you need
For example, if you need to make a p/fie for a 13 channel Moving head then open, lets say, a SGM Giotto Wash.
Take a look at the file ...all the instructions and descriptions are clearly given in the file itself. You just need a bit of savvy to get things going.
The dicy part is setting the tables. But you need not set tables if you find that too tough. Similarly you need not set Macros if you don't feel like. The console will ignore them.
Just take a look at Chuangyilight Eagle 1000 (File Name:CYE10002.R20 on disk 6) That's a good example of a 16 channel Moving head WITH the Preset pallette tables, macros or range tables bypassed. You have to give the correct syntax !!
Not setting these will mean you won't get information on the LEE gel nos which the color wheels match, on the LCD display or you won't be able to turn on/off the lamp from the console (if Macros are not set for that function)
