I know that USB to Parallel port converters exits.
But my experience with them on what I have used that those USB to Parallel port converters are only useful for connecting a traditional printer to an USB port. For anythign that does anyting non-standard with the parallel port (like using direct I/O port level access and things like non-standard handshaking line use) they are useless for that.
The USB to parallel adapter I used did not seem to show up any traditional I/O port address or could not be set one.
So can you give examples of USB to parallel port adapters that can really well emulate the classic parallel port. This means that they can be set to act exactly like traditional parallel port even at I/O port level.
I have not yet seen such USB to parallel port interface.
