If you have some more advanced serial port that supports that data rate (some USB->RS232 adapters, maybe some multi port RS-232 PCI cards etc..) and you have a RS232 to RS485 converter that operates at the needed data rate, then it should be possible in a way or another send out DMX-512 data.
For example there are several USB to DMX-512 adapters on the market that just consists of FTDI USB->RS232 converter chip connected to RS485 line driver. And some open designs how to build your own
