Yes you might have a big problem !
Look up the DMX wiring info on this site.
It shows why it is bad to use star configurations with RS-485 (DMX hardware signal protocol). The only way to make a star work is with DMX distribution amps
just like ethernet T setups using hubs.
Gather lots of information to present to the powers that be, so that you can have the misinstallation corrected if DAs werent used.
Often Churches hire so called professionals who don't know
much about their profession, just how to sell stuff.
