I only want to congrat you about this PDF work. I want to ask you some questions but I will use your forum... like the new MINI X1 manual and features and other midi questions... I also try with midi to dmx and coded a little stupid midi app that is in FreeDmx.com (MORE!) but is uses the OpenDmx interface. There I discovered that the midi buffer can be impredictible and hard to control and also the necessary use of a panic button (like CakeWalk had). I saw you also use Vbasic, do you use an OCX to read midi? You impress me about the use of Ableton live, even I dont understand it at all. I think you mean that midi notes are "quantized" and addapted to the song tempo? (well you get the idea I mean I think). I am by know hooked in the idea of voice to dmx instead of midi to dmx like you: I have installed some lights in a spinning room (a place where people make excercices on a static bike). For the teacher is hard to control the lights cause he is cicling too (4 strobos, 4 city colors and 8 mirror scanners plus some par cans) and I thought about to use the handset mic to also trigger lights (not only encourage people...) I have addapted my Manolator software to trigger the chasers and cues... Also I have adapted the same code for the Martin LJockey dmx in ... I can send you the source if you think it can be usefull to trigger and control your X1 software using your api. Well that is all. Congratulations for your work.
