Hi, just got home from spending a wk in hospital. passed out at home (my BP was 51/37) and took a bumpy ride to hosp. (those darn ambos don't seem to have any shocks in them!) I was bumping so bad I feared I wasn't belted in. They first thought I was septic cause my BP kept tanking on me so they filled me full of antibiotics all wk. I originally thought I was going in for my sever hip pain but after multiple MRI's CT SCANs XRAYS bla bla bla they couldn't find any reason for it and my BP was stable so they decided to send me home but just before I was to go my Physical therapist noticed my finger twitching so decided to send me for another MRI and Brain scan. Had so spend another nite till results came in. But later that nite I started feeling real weird so called the nurse and next thing I knew they were calling a code blue on me and I ended up in Cardiac ICU. SO spent 4 more days there cause they found I have A FIB and a heart murmur. Plus a couple non heart probs. They wanted me to be released to a Physical Therapy rehab place but I said no I'd do the home option (to make sure I am home for Xmas) and that starts in the morning. Now I'm in the process of making appts with all kinds of Drs. So OK for now and this is probably a lot more info than you wanted but I just can't seem to limit my words. LIFE may be like a box of chocolates, but not Dale Jr. With him, you always know what you are getting!
Wow that's a lot. Sounds similar to my husband right before Thanksgiving. He got an ambulance ride plus a helicopter ride and then got a new heart valve replacement. He's fine now. Spent a week in the hospital. Glad its all over now.
Wow! You have been through a lot! Please take care of yourself. I didn't want to go to rehab either but now I am glad I did. It was good to be in a hospital type setting in case I had any other issues. I know all about making all those Dr appointments. Last week I had something to go to every day. This week is a little calmer. I was in rehab for 2 weeks. Now I have home health with a nurse once a week and PT twice a week. Don't ever worry about telling us info. We want to know how you are doing. Sending prayers and hugs.Geaux Jr. Geaux LSU Tigers Who Dat!
