I finally had time to put this up. We have been busy. We are getting a hurricane tomorrow and Thursday. We finished the preps. Now we just have to wait and see what happens.

Taking time to do this with a hurricane coming is beyond necessary but much appreciated.
I'll be praying for your safety and for the hurricane to be just a little one...if there is such a thing.
Post an update on you and your loved ones so we know everything is OK.

We are ok. We had 60 MPH winds. We had some limbs down but no trees down. We were VERY VERY lucky that we never lost power. There are hundreds of thousands that don"t have power and many with damage to their homes. It is going to take months for the cleanup. There are many trees blocking roads. Thanks for the prayers!!!

to hear you are saf and was spared the worse of things. Thank you for letting us know.

I was wondering, since you live in an area that pretty much gets hurricanes on a reg basis, do you worry every time a storm starts forming? And do you have special hurricane proof things for your home like the special shutters for windows or stronger foundations?

I've often wondered why people move to islands in the Atlantic that are constantly hit and the areas torn apart, those poor areas never seem to get a break.

Anyway so happy to have good news from you. Hopefully no more to come your way this season.

glad to hear you didn't have any storm damage or power outage. That must always be a worry for you.
