3 operations in 3 mos is so much to handle,

wondering how you are doing? Have they found out about that mass on you liver or got it taken care of. Also hoping the kidney issue is taken care of. Truly concerned for you. Continued prayers from your Martin Truex Jr fan/ NASCAR sister.

Diagnosis

I was just coming to post. Unfortunately my diagnosis was not good news. I have liver cancer. I got a port today. I will be getting immunotherapy and protein therapy combined once every 3 weeks. I get my first infusion tomorrow morning. I appreciate everyone's prayers. Thank you for asking.

I have been away from this board for years - and to come back and see these names still makes me happy. BUT to come back and see this diagnosis makes me sad. You can beat this! I beat cancer on my parotid gland 3 years ago, so I know you can do it too! Prayers, hugs and love sent to you.

Oh Karen I am so terribly sad to hear this. Will this therapy be in addition to chemo or possibly surgery? I think livers can regenerate themselves. You and me and Terrie are the "3 musketeers" here, so you need to get better and hold up your 1/3 of the group LOL Seriously, all my good thoughts and prayers are going your way. Please let us know how things are progressing.

Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers. I appreciate them a lot. No chemo. The oncologist said the immunotherapy and protein therapy work better on this kind of cancer than chemo. Surgery is not an option at this point.

Oh my goodness. Sorry to hear this. Still sending prayers your way. Maybe you can take your mind off of everything for a while by watching Junior race this week in the Xfinity race. Take care and we are thinking of you.
