Thank goodness you captured something! I’m disappointed in @FOXSports and TV for not showing @DaleJr and the car pacing the field. Surely I didn’t miss it. I’m biased of course but a missed opportunity for viewers since we can’t be there in person. Thankful for social media.
So I guess I didn't miss it after all. Darn Fox network.
I though he was driving the pace car too

but luckily I was taping the race so had to replay to see he just drove our ahead of the others and made a circle of the track and that was it. He wasn't the pace car and not one word was said about him driving a throw back car. I too was upset that Jr wasn't mentioned but glad he at least did get to be out there for a fleeting moment. Had to be disappointing to his family to not get to see more than a bit of the car as it rolled off and went out of screen. LIFE may be like a box of chocolates, but not Dale Jr. With him, you always know what you are getting!
My brother put his heart and soul into my dads #8 that paced the field at Darlington today. He has been excited about this moment and sharing it with NAsCAR fans. Well done @DaleJr and all the people at @JRMotorsports who had a hand over the last two years on this project.
At least the fans at the track got to see him drive the car.
is cup doing throw back too?

if so maybe NASCAR heard the protests and will let him redo it then. AND actually show him!LIFE may be like a box of chocolates, but not Dale Jr. With him, you always know what you are getting!
