In 2021, NASCAR will hold seven road course events, and for the first time in more than 50 years, there will be a dirt race. Bristol Motor Speedway will be covered in dirt for the Food City Dirt Race on March 28.

This should be interesting!

but what a mess! Wonder where they'll get all those tons of dirt and where it will go later? I bet they could make a small fortune for a lot of charities by selling little baggies of it to fans. I KNOW people would pay to get some 'race track used dirt' At least they picked a tiny track to put dirt on and not one like Daytona

I agree. Can't wait to see all the races this year especially at new tracks. I wonder if all the drivers like the dirt course idea.

do they mean like Eldora? I THINK they use reg cars but probably dif tires. I'd love to see those guys on the track in cars like Karsen Elledge drives with that big wing/ boxy like thing on top. Could you see some of those wild drivers like Brad, Kyle, Denny etc racing SIDEWAYS??
