I don't know exactly where in Louisiana you live, but I'm praying that you and your family as well as all other residents of Louisiana will remain safe. Here in southwest Arkansas, we are expecting strong winds and heavy rains. Luckily, I live far away from any bodies of water that will probably flood.

Are you ok?

You probably had it worse than we did. It went straight up the TX/LA line into Ark.

We are fine. Got a little over 3 inches of rain and some strong winds.

We live about 120 miles east of where the storm made landfall. We got about 50 mph wind gusts and rain but nothing like people to our west got. So many have lost so much. We had some limbs down in our back yard but all in all we were extremely lucky. We are supposed to get more rain tomorrow (Friday)from the backside of the storm pulling water out of the Gulf. I too feel for the people of California. I just can't imagine what they are going through.

for my brothers and all the other people in CA where the wild fires are raging. They are just a few miles from some of the fires and I talked to one of them today and he said the planes are dropping the red fire retardant all over homes and areas around them to help stop the fires. Sure would be wonderful if some of that excess water in the gulf area could get to the fires in CA. Prayers for the safety for all.

LIFE may be like a box of chocolates, but not Dale Jr. With him, you always know what you are getting!
