Wow Jimmie

Jimmie and his wife tested positive for corona virus and Jimmie won't be driving his car this weekend. Justin Allgaier will be in the 48 this weekend. Jimmie is having a tough retirement year for sure.

He should have had the retirement year that others including Jr did with all the tributes and fan praise.

sure hope they won't get it. It's hard to make your little ones keep safe distance from mommy and daddy. I bet Jr is going to practice social distancing when he goes back to work cause he's probably terrified he'll give Covid to Amy and Isla.

Hendrick Motorsports announced Friday that Jimmie Johnson had tested positive for COVID-19.
Johnson, 44, is the first NASCAR driver publicly known to have the coronavirus. He will miss Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He’ll be replaced by Justin Allgaier, who races for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series.

Think Hendrick might be looking at Allgaier for 2021 car 48????

Not sure but it wouldn't be surprising. With the crazy way this season has been going, I hadn't even thought about who would take Jimmie's place. I hope Jimmie and his wife get well soon and like others said... I hope the kids don't get it.

I was wondering about Justin too and driving the 48. I saw Justin had a video on facebook and he was saying that Hendrick contacted him earlier in the season just to be on hand for any of their drivers if he was needed or something to that effect. Remember how Regan Smith was always the driver to call. Maybe Justin will be the one to take over for Jimmie in the 48.
