Today, because NASCAR's coronavirus-related schedule shake-up changed the TV channel, the first race in a Saturday-Sunday doubleheader at Pocono Raceway will broadcast live on Fox (rather than NBCSN as originally scheduled). Saturday's Pocono Organics 325 will proceed on its originally scheduled date but with a different start time — 3:30 p.m. ET rather than 3 p.m. ET.
Saturday and Sunday's pair of races at Pocono are the 10th and 11th in NASCAR's return on an altered, short-term schedule, and the 14th and 15th Cup Series races overall as NASCAR attempts to keep a 36-race slate intact for 2020. For now, with remaining doubt about how NASCAR can construct its schedule beyond July given differing restrictions on gatherings of people from state to state, the short-term schedule only includes races through Aug. 2.
The pair of races in the Pocono doubleheader this weekend feature different lengths. Saturday's race will go 130 laps, and Sunday's race, which will start at 4 p.m. ET, will go 140 laps.
What channel is NASCAR on today?
Race: Pocono Organics 325 at Pocono Raceway
Date: Saturday, June 27
TV channel: Fox
This is a notable change, as the original NASCAR Cup Series schedule for 2020 had NBCSN as the TV channel for both Pocono races on June 27-28. The broadcast network has changed along with NASCAR's schedule shake-up amid COVID-19.
Including this weekend's pair of races at Pocono, Fox and FS1 will broadcast four more Cup Series races. That includes the July 15 All-Star Race before NBC takes over to broadcast its half of the schedule.
