Yesterday, approximately 4:30 in the afternoon, broad daylight, two to three cars were racing on the main street closest to me, going about 100 miles per hour as reported by a man walking as they went by. One of them lost control, and smashed into another car waiting to turn left onto the street, sending it flying up into the air. One or both then crashed into a nursery school on the corner. Thankfully, there were no children present at the time.

The racer, "an adult male," got away with moderate injuries, but the innocent victim, a woman driving a Prius, was killed. This happened maybe a 1/2 of a mile from my house at the intersection I and my family drive through every day in order to get anywhere from where we live.

I don't know who she is, they haven't released that information, and I may never know, but I have been sickened to the core since I heard the news.

The other car, or cars, sped away. We will probably never know who they are. The young man (his picture being taken to the hospital showed a man likely in his early 20s) will recover. It is illegal to race on city streets and it has resulted in a horrible death, I hope there are laws that come down hard, and that he is haunted for the rest of his life that he killed an innocent person.
