Rich's comment about leading them off was on the mark. I had been thinking of heading down to the pool for an hour or two but decided I didn't want to take the chance. Just after my reply, I noticed she was leading them out. They didn't get too far. I mentioned that mama had a leg injury earlier and it seemed she gave it second thought and return to her nesting spot. They remained in place for another 1/2 hour while I was keeping vigil. She started leading them off again and kept going toward the lake and I was able to get a short video.

I took a break while posting this and was about to post that she still had a couple of unhatched eggs in the nest but I doubted she'd return when lo and behold, I saw that she was back on the nest without her babies. I can only surmise that she's left them in the care of the male or hidden them at the lake. Wonders never cease and I'm so glad to have witnessed this journey.
