I couldn't really act on it sooner due to all the priority issues in my life, the doctors, hospitals, procedures, medications, general care, etc., take all my strength and brain power. There's very little left for anything else. But little by little, I found out some info and I'm not ready to act yet, but coming close.
I knew that Office 2010 was no longer supported, and neither is Windows 7. I can't get Office 2010 in reputable places, and the next upgrade, Office 2019, is not compatible with Windows 7. So I can upgrade my old computer to Windows 10, buy Office 2019, have everything transferred, yatata, yatata, yatata. If it is possible (and it may not be) it will cost anywhere from $170 to $250, depending where I go. OR.....
I can buy a new computer, Intel i-5, 8 gig, 1 terrabyte, HP or Lenovo, with Windows 10 already installed, and buy Office 2019, and have everything transferred for approximately $700-800.
My old computer comes up with a box every so often that says something about shut down or lose stuff due to something, maybe low memory? I should check what it's saying and if it's really real.
Then I have Carbonite. Carbonite says they can transfer everything for me, but I don't know if I have to do it myself with their instructions, or if they do it for me, but I don't think they will install the Word program. My head is so full that I don't want to hassle anything myself. I know it will cost me, but I can't help it. Maybe I should call Carbonite again, and ask if they install Word, and how much help they give during transfer. They just assured me they have everything.
