I'm FB friends with one of Bob's granddaughters and she posted about an accident that happened over 50 years ago that she remembered as an oft retold family story. Her father, the only survivor still alive, recounted it, and others chimed in with their recollections. It was a nail-biter. I had originally heard the story from Bob who was not there when it happened, but it could have cost him the lives of his ex-wife and son, and two more of her family. It took me back such a long time and gave me a genealogy mystery to solve by hearing about people that I'd never heard mention of before. They were not Bob's family, but the family of his ex-wife. His son and an aunt were trying to figure out what happened to them and where they might be. All their last remembrances were wrong. I found them all. No one was where they were believed to be.
