After a nite of blustery winds, where opening or closing a door required bracing oneself or holding on for dear life, this morning dawned bright and sunny. A little chillier than we've had but pleasant. Inspecting the surroundings for damages, a few minor things...the top of the generator shed blew up but didn't break off, another sizeable but handle able branch down, a plastic milk container on my front lawn, nothing notable. A missing collapsible leaf refuse can found outside my fencing. Main chore today - getting the garden refuse to the curb for pickup.
Good news for me is that the tree trimming people I've been waiting for since mid Sept. are expected tomorrow. Foliage is now all but gone which makes their job easier and I'm inclined to believe that it may have played a part in their delay. Four giant oaks are getting a trim.
I also got a bit of hopeful news on the Covid front..I took two tests last evening..one a rapid and the other a more accurate one which will take a few days for results. The rapid one was negative. Since being exposed to it, I'll be self-isolating for the required 14 days and I'm five days in.
