My femur isn't broken but the pain is so much worse than it was - in the same general area. There is nothing they can do for it but give me pain killers.

My wrist is broken. I have a temporary splint on it to stabilize it until the nurse comes tomorrow to put a regular splint on it.

Little can be done when you only have one usable leg and one usable wrist. We still have some boxes of stuff to sort. I'm getting rid of a lot of old clothes. Old but in excellent condition. Some of the pants were only worn a few times.
