Re: Hospice... Carol
I feel so bad that you are having this trouble. It took a long time and trial and error for us to figure out what would be the best equipment to help Mike with his limitations. Not sure I understood you about the hospital bed, Mike bought a regular bed, a regular mattress on an adjustable bed frame, which goes up and down. He never uses the up and down, rather he props up on three pillows. Says he slips down otherwise and sometimes can't get up, and it puts him in an uncomfortable position. Also bought a lovely recliner lift chair. The best thing he could have done. It is very comfortable, and lifts him almost completely upright after all these years of the girls breaking their backs to get him up and out of bed, chair, etc. Now I can help him get up and out, don't need to call on them or wake them in the middle of the night. I don't know why we didn't realize sooner what a great help this would be.
