The truth is I had called the husband to advise the tree was a problem and tried to follow up with a face to face a second time and got short shift..He never came over to discuss it. The odds are if I had rung the doorbell, she would have tried to prevent us doing it although I felt they had notice enough. The tree is damaged and should come down, they most likely can’t afford to hire someone. It’s been in that condition for months and legally I do not have to ask permission to cut what comes over my property line particularly when it’s a problem.
I would have liked to have said we’d been in front of the house for almost two hours..I don’t know how you wouldn’t have been aware of what we were doing but waited until the job was finished to come out. I would have liked to have said, instead of bitching, you should be thanking my daughter and friend for saving your husband from having to do it and it didn’t cost a dime. She was in my face and it took a lot of control to not accelerate the situation because I was very close.
I have to say when all is said and done, they did a good job..the tree now looks balanced and much better from an aesthetic point of view instead of the lopsided ¾ of the foliage on one side. I only see one branch stump cut at the property line that really should have been at the trunk. It is much more likely to withstand any storm or wind damage until it’s taken down. Maybe the lady will think twice about her reaction but I’m not holding my breath.
