The problem with Macy's here is that they've spread themselves over 3 separate stores. The main store is clothes and accessories. The home store is in a different part of the mall. Furniture is a separate store in a shopping center. (I find their furniture expensive and wonder who buys it.)
I object to the automatic registers that the big box stores are installing. It started with a few per store, now it's about half of the stations in some of them. We always use the human cashier lines even if we have to wait longer in order to save jobs.
