I remember seeing on a show that the Inuit had to move a village due to the permafrost thawing. Houses were starting to sink or tilt.
I don't know how helpful an Eskimo's description of climate change would be because they had no written language and like us, live less than 100 yrs. The fossil record would be more accurate I would think. Maybe I misunderstood you.
