Re: Images of here.
It's quite nice..plenty of room but definitely the boondocks. Reminds me of what Florida brought to mind after I first visited here. Very different from the surroundings we have here. We are kind of sandwiched between the have's, the have-nots and the middle ground within a few short "blocks" or miles and you can immediately tell which area you're in by the communities lining the main roads even if you can't really see them behind fences and tall shrubbery. Some have beautiful facades and entryways and others are less grand. There seem to be shopping centers everywhere and most of the NY stores I'm familiar with can be found. Our community is older but well maintained and the grounds are lovely but they don't match some of the more expensive places. Some of the middle-class communities remind of the projects, crowded multi-floored "condo" apartments. The upside is that there is more opportunity to mingle. Younger, I would have liked your set-up but at this stage, our choice couldn't have been better. 113 acres of flat, paved roads that wind around two lakes and everything outside of my walls is taken care of. There was an area on an outside wall where some black mold was seen on the concrete and some pavers had been left by the previous owner. A call to the office and a maintenance guy was here, scrubbed the wall, took away the pavers (which left a depression)..Came back the next day, leveled the ground and repainted the wall.
