Re: Happy Hanukkah - to all...
Once my parents were gone, Christmas Day was always a lay back..do nothing day. Our celebrating and opening of gifts was always Christmas Eve when the kids grew out of the Santa Claus phase. By the time, we'd either go to bed or get home when we started going to my daughter's house, most of us had no interest to do anything more than chill..those of us who participated in a Christmas Dinner were usually going to another relative they were obligated to spend some time with. My not being with my kids this year changed the playing field. One daughter went to her husband's family and then to a friends, the other spent the evening with her buddies. It's been the quietest Christmas of my life and that's saying something.
