My son and his SO were talking about taking it over but it looks they changed their minds. They said something about wanting to spend time with people more like themselves. It looks like they can't relate to those living and snow-birding out here. And it's not age because some of the people who come to the dinners are younger than they are. No country bumpkins. All I know are Yankees from northern cities.
They found a place in the city run by an old hippy type who sells candles, incense, has meditation groups and is in general a hangout for non drinkers and non druggies. Large front porch with a lot of chairs for people to socialize in a large old Victorian house. Apparently they spend their spare time there because they're only here to sleep now from what I can see.
He has lost all interest in the property and working out there in the garden areas he created as already mentioned. One day he was still gung-ho and the next he just abandoned everything. RR cleaned up and rounded up all the gardening things he left around. I wasn't much help because the scooter doesn't do well in grass or sand. There are just a few things left between the house and RV to pick up - half empty bags of mulch, it looked like a few small gardening tools, a couple of empty flower pots. RR came down with a sore throat and runny nose and has stayed inside most of today. Maybe we can finish this weekend as it's clear to us he isn't going to do it.
