As far as not taking jobs Americans would not take, that's pretty much a fallacy these days. One example is construction..today almost all the workers you see are Hispanic. This used to be a pretty well paid job for Americans, good with their hand skills but light on education..auto maintenance and just about any of the blue collar jobs that once were available. They are willing to work for less money in many cases and businesses take advantage of it, driving down salaries. Billions are sent back to home countries rather than being spent here, reported as $56 billion. One could argue that we don't know if the senders are illegal or documented but none the less it's money that wasn't spent here. One doesn't have to believe what's reported to realize that rapid changes are taking place right in front of our eyes. California, once a place dreamt of, is becoming a nightmare.
