The one exception I can think of is Tim Allen. Someone stopped Mike on the road when he was driving a classic truck he'd refurbished. They said they had a buyer for it, made the deal, and told him to deliver it to Tim Allen's house. Someone else received it in. He never did see Tim Allen. But that's unusual. Both Bob and Mike, in their respective businesses, had some celebrity clientele.
I used to meet Jamie Farr (Klinger) from Mash shopping at Pavilions regularly, and also at the little pizza place in the strip mall. I was next to Bob Eubanks at a stop light some years ago, and he smiled and winked! Was invited to coffee by Ricardo Montalban when I was a guest at NBC studios. I met Howie Mandel at Corner Bakery a couple of years ago and we had a funny exchange. Also had breakfast at a table near Vin Scully at Marmelade Cafe in Calabasas, but I would never interrupt his meal.
Movie stars went to the college where I worked and years later enrolled their kids. My seat mate in Spanish class was the guy from Gomer Pyle. They're all just here, so you run into them, so many over the last 60 years I'd have to think hard to recall them all.
