No, I can't say the lobstermen have gained and it's costing them an additional roughly 10% more than it had been in tariffs. I'd also add that nature and pollution probably also play a part in their having tough times as they are for anyone in the commercial fishing businesses. My area used to be a mecca for clams and that's no longer the case. I haven't seen a clam boat on the bay for ages and it used to be where you'd always see them. Between pollution and the clam beds being cleaned out, its no longer a place where you can make a living. New beds are seeded but it's years before they can be harvested.
It's true that Trump wants to bring our troops home but we've now had a resurgence of ISIS in Iraq again. It was not a lie, it's things breaking out that we can't walk away from just when it appears they are quiet. Maybe these countries can only be stabilized by dictatorship. Maybe we should walk away and let them all kill each other because I don't see their conflicts ever being resolved.
