Re: The Situation in Syria -

The whole situation over there sucks. None of the leaders of these mid-eastern countries can be trusted. Their cultures are so foreign to ours and what we think of as barbaric is the norm for them. The Syrian President Assad was accused of using chemical warfare, we condemned and Russia, China and Iran supported. Erdogan, on the other hand, seemed to be the lesser evil and is who our allies aligned with. He was supposed to be responsible for the ISIS prisoners. I don't believe protecting the Kurds from other than ISIS was ever on the table. Erdogan's actions show he can't be trusted either.
As far as The Future Syria Party’s Secretary-General, Hevrin Khalaf, the Kurdish woman killed in a road ambush, there seems to be a conflict on who was responsible. Initially blamed on the Turks who deny it saying they had not advanced that far, the blame on ISIS type terrorists is now included as a possibility. She and her driver were executed on the spot with no mention of additional atrocities in Syrian papers.
Following the players is as confusing as Lou Costello's "who's on first" skit. The Kurd's are now being backed by former foes and the whole shebang screams that we shouldn't be involved.
