$7.50 for a lb of Ricotta is unbelievable. It's usually just under $3 lb here. How do the other stores compete with something like your International Market?
In the past 2 yrs food has really gone up here. Just about everything edible has gone up. Beef is not our favorite meat and just as well because it's so high now we would not pay the asking price. If we can't get the second one for free we don't buy beef. Even chopmeat is out of sight at $5 and $6 lb. I use to use in in some recipes - no more. I have to wonder how the poor feed their families. I would not want to feed a few kids these days.
It's good Mike can get up and do some things he enjoys.
We take advantage of any coupon for things we buy, sales and the popular "buy one get one free" deals at WinnDixie and sometimes Publix. Last week we got beautiful beef 2-for-1. I cut one up for stew. The other package will probably end up on the grill. Generally speaking though, WalMart has the lowest prices on food.
