While I am not for abortions in general, I am more ambivalent when it comes to early intervention before the fetus becomes viable. Allowing them to take place through the full 9 months has pushed the envelope. Most deformities can be determined early on and when it comes to the health of the mother, a Caesarian is probably less detrimental to the woman than an abortion would be. Infanticide on a failed abortion or baby that has a condition that they are not liable to survive does not necessarily mean taking an action to hasten it's death, it more likely taking no action that normally would take place to try to save it.
