Typical right-leaning anti-abortion site: https://www.dailysignal.com/2015/08/17/planned-parenthood-loses-government-funding-heres-map-health-clinics-take-place/
As for both of these sites - they are not better options for women who need or want an abortion for whatever reasons she has. Better to force her to a basement abortionist or the use of a coat hanger in her desperation? And it's FREE or low cost so any poor woman can get all the care she needs except the day-after pill or an abortion. You see compassion for women in that in these places? Explain a Rep/Con's compassion and how it works where women are concerned.
These places are of no use to women who want to abort or take the day-after pill to keep the egg from implanting.
You may want to read the truth instead of anti-abortion right-wing propaganda that shows a total lack of compassion and caring for the desperate women out there.
Quote: "The first thing to be aware of is the Planned Parenthood services are not free. Their services are funded by private insurance, Medicaid and in some cases by private organizations not to mention Abortions."
Of course they're funded but abortions are not paid for with taxpayer money and you know this. No taxpayer money funds abortions unless it's to save the woman's life or as I understand the law, was raped or in the case of incest.
Google: "In U.S. politics, the Hyde Amendment is a legislative provision barring the use of federal funds to pay for abortion except to save the life of the woman, or if the pregnancy arises from incest or rape."
Quote: "Federally qualified health clinics offer the same services and more without the abortions and there are more of them available than there are PP facilities."
Women who plan to have the unwanted fetus to put up for adoption or dump in foster care know about these places. So of what use are they to women who want the day-after pill or an early abortion. The 3% served by PP? Is it compassionate to force a woman to bear an unwanted child? How does this improve her life? If those other clinics were affordable women wouldn't be going to PP for birth control, STD testing etc.
Quote: "This FB site illustrates a comparison of Federal Health Clinic availability vs Planned Parenthood. The information is 4 years old and there are probably more now."
If those other clinics were affordable women wouldn't be going to PP for birth control, STD testing etc. And where do they suggest women go who want to abort or get the DA-pill?
Reading your post I get the impression you are against desperate women getting safe legal abortions. So lets do away with PP. Force them to backalley abortionists or the trusty old coat hanger. You don't mention these women in any of your posts concerning abortion.
What is really galling is those who are so against abortion quickly loose interest in the fetus once born. The poor single woman is stuck trying to live on welfare and food stamps in some of the worst rundown dumps called apts. Or the unwanted baby is born into a family with more kids than they can afford, each new one taking away more from the others. The exhausted mother unable to cope.... where are these anti-abortion people then? Where is the compassion from the Right?
