They need massive high rise bldgs to house them all or most of them. That will cost a small fortune. There seems to be no alternative when people, even those working, can't afford the rents these days. We also need mental hosps like we had in the past where the mentally ill were housed and cared for. The dangerous ones kept off the streets. It was a big mistake closing those places. We also need more facilities for the addicts and alcoholics who want to get cleaned up.
If people can't afford the rents, and rents go up constantly, I'm sure the homeless numbers will keep increasing.
