The thing that I regret about the most is what I lost pension wise and in stock options by job shifting. I had been with a company 11 years when aggravated by an incident, I accepted a good offer and resigned. Within the time frame when I should have been able to reinstate my prior service, I went back. One week prior to my coming back, was the cut-off date for a change in their retirement plan. Existing employees were given stock and a new plan put into place. The stock was very lucrative for those who got it. My prior service was not recognized so my pension was calculated on 11 years less then it might have been. The Human Resource administrator often taunted me with didn't I wish I never left since she had started about two weeks later than my original hire date.
