Then we headed to Ashland, which was incredible hot. We saw MacBeth, and we didn't like this version. The director is someone we've followed because his productions are usually dynamic, but this one wasn't. Lady M was the whole show in the first half. The character of MacBeth wasn't commanding enough. The second half was better. Cambodian Rock Band rocked. A friend's son is in the group that wrote a lot of the music. Mother Road was excellent. Alice in Wonderland was a version written by Eva LaGallienne and Florida Friebus decades ago. It worked and the costumes were everything we expect from Ashland.
I wasn't online very much. Everywhere we stayed had it but I was often too sleepy by the time we got back to our rooms. When we were in restaurants with WiFi there just wasn't time.
