On the south side of Victory, right opposite, they have built a new shopping center they call The Village. It also has everything in it you could want, and some very expensive restaurants. It goes all the way down past Erwin Street, towards where the old Promenade used to be. They have plans for development of the Warner Ranch to include a sports stadium. There's a lot of opposition, but who knows? All I can tell you is the Valley is a whole other animal than what it used to be.
I've heard that Boething Treeland has been sold, and will become a housing development. I think they may still be fighting that, the traffic is already horrendous trying to get on the 101 at Valley Circle/Mulholland Drive (my entrance). Beautiful green Treeland, backing on to Hidden Hills, may soon be gone.
New makeup was a fleeting idea, and not an immediate one, and I decided to find another place to buy it, i.e., the Beauty Collection or online. In the four years the price has gone up. I don't seem to have the motivation, it's hard to stand and fuss at the mirror. Maybe one of those little, low benches would help. I'm so out of practice, I hope I won't look like a clown.
I did end up at the mall today tho, because I wanted a hand-held vacuum that was advertised at Target, and the Fallbrook store was out of them so I had to go to Topanga. It's an effort to get about, my leg muscles have never recovered from steroid myopathy.
On the way home I stopped at Ralphs. I have cut down on red meat lately, not trying, just don't like it as much as I used to, but saw a top round roast that was so gorgeous I had to buy it.
