The results of my cardio test were negative. My heart is fine with no signs of any problem whatsoever. Valves are fine but there was one anomaly in one of the arteries that feed the heart. A narrow place that could be genetic or accumulating plaque. However, it's far from affecting the flow and my symptoms are not those of a narrowed but open artery. My heart showed it was not causing a problem. He honestly doesn't know what is causing my symptoms. He told me what I already knew and that is it's either your heart or your lungs when you suffer shortness of breath as severe as I was. I go back in a year so he can recheck that area.
My carotids are collecting plaque but that doesn't cause these symptoms either. Lack of exercise is taking it's toll already with plaque. I had hoped it wouldn't but reality is what it is. I cannot get anywhere near the exercise I got all my life for these past 3 years.
Meanwhile I have to stick with chicken and fish. There are proteins that are not high in cholesterol. Beef and pork will be treats and not on the daily menu. No more butter and cheese. The usual heart healthy died.
Well then what does it leave since the pulmonologist couldn't find any problem with my lungs. Just thought it may be some kind of allergy/asthma.
WTF? All those tests just to learn if I don't change my diet now with lack of enough exercise, plaque will become a problem down the road.
I still don't have the answers we all hoped to get. It's also wearing off as it did when it happened 10 or 12 yrs ago. But it was nowhere near as bad that time. Not even close. They ran tests back then at St Thomas Hosp in Nashville and found nothing.
I guess I'll stock up on chicken and fish, give the cheese and butter to my son....
