The Mexican government has agreed to beef up enforcement. In addition the villages that were so great to the first caravans are fed up and don't have the resources to continue their help.
The smugglers are who we should be concerned about. Whenever there's a crackdown on our country's side, they find new and inventive routes to get them in. Sometimes the smugglers will just abandon them. The people to really be concerned about are those who come through the airports with a visitor's visa and don't leave when it expires. The government has all of the info about where they said they're staying. Has anyone even looked for them?
