Actually I like looking things up on the computer rather than most booklets. I can size the print up and read it better than some of the small print those things have. What I've been doing (and it works very well) is when I buy a product that is expected to be around for a few years, I look up the manual online and download it to my computer. It's a lot easier to find than going through a mountain of papers of things that accumulate over time and I have it rather than depending on the manufacturer still having it online. It's been called on several times for simple parts needed for my over-the-stove fan.
