Re: Stress test.... Nancy

I had a test years ago where I walked on a treadmill and I don't remember if they gave me a shot or what, but my heart beat so fast I thought I'd die. Years after that, I had what I thought was a nuclear stress test. I had pictures taken in a machine before I walked on the treadmill, and then I had pictures taken after. I think they gave me something too. That wasn't as bad. But my husband had a chemical stress test, had a bad reaction, had to be rushed to a Portland hospital from his coastal town. He told the kids if he dies it's from this test. And he died a few days later. My sister has had two chemical stress tests and will not have another. She would rather have an angiogram, even tho it's invasive. What with all this knowledge about stress tests, I refused to have another. I had a CT scan of the heart instead. It won't tell you what happens if you are stressed, but I found out my arteries were more clear than not. I know, however, when the next earthquake strikes, my heart will have its test.
