Tell us exactly WHAT he's hoping to accomplish. That is other than keeping out people he sees as undesirable? We all know about that and most agree with some kind of control of immigrants. He stepped on his own pecker when he took the kids away from their parents to scare others from coming. Now we're paying millions to house them and they're starting to die. Six so far.
Explain Quicksand. I'm poor at guessing what you mean. Do you mean the Russians who promised to destroy us from within? Brown people desperate for a better life? Countries sucking us dry? Taking billions a year from us while our people live on the streets and in tents in the cities and forests?
My idealism leans to compassion for the poor and desperate. The innocent children caught in the crossfire. The homeless and working poor. Helping these people FIRST before sending billions abroad that do nothing to house our people, create well paid jobs, fix our infrastructure etc. If's that Democratic Socialism - so be it.
Your idealism seems to be to keep out as many people as possible no matter how desperate they are. That is having to know we cannot send money to their countries expecting the cash to keep them in their own country. That taking kids from their parents, to punish those parents, and putting them in tent camps is OK. You show no concern for the environment or the infrastructure that's deteriorating as I type this. So what do we call your capitalistic idealism? I can't help feeling you admire the wealthy like Trump and value them, the HAVES, while at the same time feel disdain for the HAVE NOTS in our society. Send money to their countries and they'll stay there? It's never worked before so you must know, like Regan's and Trump's "Trickle down" it doesn't work. I'm surprised you would even suggest something like that.
How about we put MXs to work by buying old buses and paying them to take those at the border back to their countries? Africans can be put on old army planes and flown back to Africa. That would work better than tariffs that we will end up paying for in the end. BTW, I doubt threatening Africa with tariffs would work.
