I never took that line. I don't think I even knew it existed. I started my train riding experiences on the Brighton line going to high school and the latter years traveling to Wall St. where I had an after-school job at Marine Midland Trust Co. Seasoned by then, I'd take the Independent E or F to Forest Hills every weekend. When I graduated, I moved to FH and then it was a daily affair. I took the Metropolitan line back to Brooklyn College for a year or so to night school. When I married, it was the IRT 7 train, for a while transferring to the Astoria line. The IRT 7 was the best of them until the Chinese started migrating to Flushing. I think they were the rudest passengers I've ever encountered. You'd go to take a seat, they'd slide under you and you'd wind up sitting in their lap.
