I also found out people are seeing BEARS in this little community. So far they haven't caused any problems but warnings were spread around to be careful when going out at night. We seldom go out at night so we haven't seen any.
Getting the RV ready to be a home for someone for awhile is a larger job than we though it would be. We had to remove most of our stuff such as clothing, odds and ends, clean everything making a special effort. The gas/electric fridge had to be rebuilt ($800.00) and they brought it back dirty - had no idea what that stuff was so scrubbed it with a disinfectant. RR set up the TV and we were happy to see the antenna on the RV did pick up Gainsville stations. All the draws had to be wiped out as they collect "road dust." It's going to take another afternoon to finish out there.
We desperately need rain. Everything is drying out and some plants are dying. I wont replace them. The sun is so intense here and it's so hot every day now (90s) that most flowers that thrived in NY and TN start to fade and die here. Anything in pots has to be watered every day. Weeks and months go by with no rain. We're going to move most of the plants to dappled shade to see if that helps. I wont be buying those anymore.
